Leids Licht shows you the beauty of the real Leiden, like you know the city. I am Merijn Soeters. I have been a photographer for over 15 years. Since 2019, my wife and I have lived in the city-centre. Newbie's, but with a real urge to get to know Leiden. Since 2022 we have the sweetest boy in the world to take walks with. When we do, I bring my camera.
I want my photos to form a collection with which the Leidenites can identify. No filters, no pretence. Not artificially enhanced, but real. The beauty often lies in the moment, the detail, the person you see. Leids Licht is a -for now- online- gallery of the city. A collection of special moments of daily life.
